Ojime or Manju is the bead between the netsuke and inro box. It's function is secure the lid to the inro, by being able to move up and down the cord. Each is a miniature work of art. The ojime is often a round or animal shaped bead. The manju function is the same, but is a flat-circular shape with relief carving on one side.
