Mother-of-Pearl bottles are difficult to make. Designs are made from chips of mother-of-pearl shells placed over wood. This is then multi-coated in lacquer, usually black, until the surface of pearl is covered. Sizes vary from 2" to 3". Unless noted, all are from China.

China Factory Minimum Quantity of these mother pearl snuff bottle items can be negotiated with factories. Dollar Amount is often more important to smaller factories than the quantity of each piece.
